Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Webelos all got together for food and ceremonies Last Saturday night at the Florin Fire Hall, Cub, Boy, and Webeles Scouts met with their parents for induction ceremonies. Four boys were taken into the Webelos, 2 into the Cub Scouts, and one into Boy Scout troop 63. A banquet preceded the ceremonies. Entertainment was provided by Chipso the Clown and banjo player Jay Snyder. These boys were induct- ed into the Webelos: Ricky Gottlieb, Chris Tompkins, Donald Todd, and Bobby DeHoff. New Cubs were Scott Ney and Brett Hamm. John Fry was taken into Scout Troop 63 by Scout Master Jim Ruhl. Awards were given out also. In Den 1, these boys got these prizes: Craig Johnson, 2nd year pin; Mark Rosenberry, 1st yr. pin; Brian Ginder, Ist yr. pin; Todd Kirkpatrick, Bear Badge and 2nd yr. pin; and Eric Smith, one Gold Arrow and a 2nd yr. pin. Also in Den 1: Chris Tompkins, Bear Badge, a Gold Arrow, two Silver Arrows, and 2nd yr. pin; Donald Todd, 1st yr. pin; and Bobby DeHoff, Bear Badge, a Gold Arrow, two Silver Arrows, and 2nd yr. pin. In Den 2, these awards were given: Scott Kling, Bear Badge, a Gold Arrow, a Silver Arrow, and a 2nd yr. pin; Jay Darkey, 1st yr. pin and Bear Badge; Timmy Zuch, 1st yr. pin; Brent Tyson, Wolf Badge and 1st yr. pin; Troy Drohan, Bear Badge, 2nd yr. pin; Scott Dillow, Wolf Badge, 1st yr. pin; and In the Webelos, the following awards were made: Mike McKain got these Activity Badges — artist, craftsman, engineer, forester, geologist, natural- ist, outdoorsman, and 3 year pin; Donald Zilke got these —aquanaut, artist, craftsman, engineer, and 3rd year pin; Kevin Jones got aquanaut, artist, crafts- man, engineer, forester, geologist, naturalist, and outdoorsman Activity Badges, and 3rd year pin; Scott Hostetter got artist, scholar, and 3rd year pin; and John Fry got a 3rd year pin.
