Participating were Dee Ann Barnes, Angie Boyles, Obituaries DELLA W. EBERSOLE Mrs. Della W. Ebersole, 91, of 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, died at the Oreville Mennonite Home on Sunday. She formerly lived in Mount Joy, and was the widow of the late Martin H. Ebersole, who died in 1974. She was a daughter of the late Reuben and Annie Wolgemuth Nissley. She was a member of the Erisman Mennonite Church of Manheim. : Surviving are: a daughter Anna, wife of Lester Hollinger, East Petersburg; a stepson, Jacob W. Ebersole of Mount Joy; a step-daughter, Esther W. Ebersole of Salunga; three grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a bro- ther, Amos Nissley, of Orange, CA. KATHRYN E. SCHATZ Mrs. Kathryn E. Schatz, 68, of 131 New Haven Street, Mount Joy, died Thursday at 7:20 AM at Lancaster Gen~ral Hospital, where she had been a patient for four weeks. Born in Hanover, she was a daughter of Maggie Wildasin and the late Harry W. Wagner. Her husband, Harold F. Schatz, SR., died in 1969. A Mount Joy reside. for most of her life, she was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, and the Mount Joy Leisure Club. In addition to her mother and stepfather, Luther Wilt, both of Mount Joy, she is survived by five soas and daughters: Harold F.,Jr., Mount Joy; Robert E. and Richard C., both of Mount Joy RD2; Thomas F., Manheim; and Dorothy G., wife of Elwood C. Walnut Street, Marietta, died Saturday at the Columbia Hospital after an illness of two years. Born in Philadelphia, a son of the late Jacob and Mary Dougherty Benedict, he was the husband of Blanche M. Shaub Bene- dict. He retired with honors in 1955 from his job as a conductor with the Penn Central Railroad after 47 years with the line. He was a member of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Marietta, the Central Asso- ciation of Miraculous Medal of the Roman Catholic Church, the Bro- therhood of Railroad Train- men, and the Pioneer Fire Company. Bades his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Gladys Chaney, at home, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Shaw of Philadelphia. FLORENCE LOWERY Florence Collins Lowery of 580 W. Main St., Mount Joy, died Friday morning at St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of six months. She was 69. She lived all her life in the Mount Joy area. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Helfrich Collins and the wife of E.V. ‘‘Larry” Lowery. She had retired from the Gerberich-Payne shoe com- pany in 1956, and for ten years ran the Lowery Antique business.
