Michael A. Mann, 112 South 3rd Street, Colum- bia, has recently observed his 10th year of service with The United Telephone Company of Pennsylvania. Mann joined the tele- phone company in 1967 as a lineman and was appoin- ted frameman in 1972. In 1973 he was. named installer-repairman, the position he now holds. Mann has attended vari- ous company sponsored technical training courses. He and his wife, the former Peggy Ann Har- bold, have two children; Heather Lynn and George Michael. Included among his hob- bies are sports. Blue is best for cars The most popular new car color in Pennsylvania last year was blue, accord- ing to the Inmont Corpora- tion, a leading supplier of paints to the automotive industry. Pennsylvania ranked sixth in the nation with a total of 558,746 new car registrations, over one- fourth of which were blue. The second most popular color was white or cream. More than 678,700 wor- kers are employed in automotive-related industry in Pennsylvania. This is approximately 17.8 per cent of the state’s total employ- ment, Inmont said. Sponsored by the Lancaster Boys Club, the Toys for Tots program provides toys for less fortunate children. This RRTA project will begin on Monday, October 31, and will run through Saturday, November 26. Anyone making a donation of a toy or a game upon boarding an RRTA bus will be given a 45 cent discount on his fare. (The base fare on RRTA buses is 45 cents.) The 45 cent discount will be offered on all RRTA bus routes at any time during this period. Items donated should be small and in good condi- tion. This is the second year that RRTA has worked with the Lancaster Boys Club on this program.
