Page 8 - SUSQUEHANNA TIMES Donegal Sertoma Club elects officers Donegal Sertoma, a newly-formed service club in the Donegal Area, has signed twenty-seven mem- bers. The club is a seed- back sponsored by the Lancaster Sertoma and was organized with the help of Jack Warrenfeltz, Jerry Remley, Dr. Barry Walp and numerous other Serto- New bar in historic catacombs mans. The following officers were officially elected at their permanent organiza- tional meeting held June 9, 1977: Jay Heller, President; Archie Seats, Vice Presi- dent (Membership); Galen Brandt, Vice President (Program); Ray Knorr, Vice President (Sponsorship); Mike Torres, Secretary; James Kopp, Treasurer; and Gabe Schlollhaver, Sergeant-at-Arms. Elected Directors were Nelson Breneman, John Crider, Joe Grazan, Jerry Docter- man, Dale Kerchner and Dennis Heller. Other charter members include John Barton,. Geof- fery Benes, Dale Boyer, Dale Boyer, Jr., Dale Good, Joseph Grazan, Jr., Bill Hawk, Raymon T. Knorr, Robert Morris, J.L. Oxford, Lamar Stutzman, William Minick, James Randolph and James Mummau. Front St., Marietta, Pa., recently completed training as a cannoneer under the One Station Unit Training (OSUR) Program at Ft. Sill, Okla. OSUR is a 13-week period which combines bas- ic combat training with advanced individual train- ing. Students learned the dut- ies of a howitzer or gun section crewman and re- ceived instruction in hand- ling ammunition, setting fuses and preparing charg- es, communications and maintenance. The private entered the Army in February of this year. Pvt. Verna McNaughton Jamie Robinson wed The marriage of Miss Verna McNaughton to Ja- mie Robinson took place last Saturday at 2 p.m. at Glossbrenner United Meth- odist Church in Mount Joy. Rev. Wagner officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Daisy Heitz, 534 Plain St., Columbia and Charles McNaughton, R.D. 1, Bainbridge. She graduated from Donegal High School. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Robinson, 421 N. Plum St., Mount Joy. He graduated Angela Miller at dan Miss Angela Miller par- ticipated on Miss Eloise’s School of Dancing recital, held at Penn Manor High School in Millersville, on June 4th. She was spon- sored by the Soroptimist Club of Lancaster. Angela performed a number to the tune, ‘‘Jazz- ing Around.” She also tap danced to the old standard, “Happy Days are Here Again.” from Donegal High School and is employed by ITT Grinnell, Columbia. Miss Beverly Hoffer of Marietta was maid of honor. Mrs. Donna Eber- sole, sister of the bride- groom, Lititz, and Miss Paula Rapp, sister of the bride, Columbia, were bridesmaids. Joseph Shoemaker of Elizabethtown was best man. Usher were Dale Durdock, Manheim, and William Wolf, Columbia. Church and Mount Joy Brownie Troop 29. She has completed five years of dance instruction.
