Business students win contests Donegal students who attended the conference, in addition to Jolene and Ten students from the Donegal High School Fu- ture Business Leaders of America Club attended the Region 18 Leadership Con- ference at Penn Manor High School on March 24. One of the highlights of the conference is competition in various business sub- jects. Donegal students placed first in two of these contests. Penny Hendrix Donegal choir achieved first place in the Clerk-Typist II competition; Jolene Ellis was first in the Stenography II. The girls are now eligible to enter the same competition at the State Leadership Confer- ence which will be held at the Host Farm on May 1, 2 and 3. State winners are entitled to compete at the national Leadership Con- ference which will be held in Denver, Colorado, July 1 to 4. plans Penny, are: Dana Elliott, Lori Good, Charles Elliott, Lynne Germer, Carol Nolt, Donna Lauver, Robert Lau- ver, and Chalmers Mann. Mrs. Naomi J. Houseal, Coordinator of the business department at Donegal, and Mrs. B. Ruth Peters, club advisor, accompanied the students. Spring concert The Donegal High School choir and Freshmen chorus will present ‘I Got the Music In Me,” a spring concert on Saturday, April 2, at 8 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. Also, the Rhythm Singers will present a medley of songs and routines. The High School Choir (under the direction of mrs. RoAnn Lau) will present: Nothing Can Stop Me Now, Garbage, and other num- bers. Accompanists will be Jolene Lindemuth, Tammy Duke, and Margaret End- slow. Members of the Singers are Jim Johnson, Cindy Charles, Keith Gephart, Phil Good, Wayne Mylin, Bruce Wagner, Jim Landis, Jennie Kohler, Becky Zimmerman, Eileen Jones, Joy Shearer and Jolene Lindemuth. Greg Linde- muth and Holly Baker are alternates. Tickets may be pur- chased from any member or at the door ($1.50 for adults and $1 for students). Current officers of the choir are: Keith Gephart, president; Greg Lindemuth, vice-president; Jeanne Freed, Secretary-treasurer; art chairman, Jim Johnson; and publicity chairperson, Holly Baker. Seiler Guards of the Month Guards of the Month at Seiler school are, left, Billy Cox, and right, Mitch Valle. Usually there is only one guard of the month, but the two each got eleven votes, so they share the honor for the month of February.
