Cash prizes were donat- ed by the Student Council in six different categories. Judges for the show were Wayne and Jackie Madsen of ‘‘The Print Shop,” Marietta, and also Claire Lavin of Marietta. Wayne is a student at York Academy of Arts while Jackie holds an art degree from Kutztown State Col- lege and teaches art in Middletown. Claire Lavin operates the ‘‘Chateau Art’, a studio-gallery where she teaches art. Patty Floyd, a senior, emerged as the big winner with the ‘‘Best-of-Show”’ award and prizes in four categories. The ‘‘Best-of- Show’ was a Charcoal drawing entitles ‘‘Sea- shell”. First runner-up for this award was a clay sculpture entitled ‘‘Tribute to the American Amuse- ment Park’’ by Janice Rogers, a Junior. Prizewinners in each cat- egory were: Drawing: 1st prize, Patty Floyd; 2nd prize, Floyd Runkle; 3rd prize, Keith Pomroy; Honorable men- tion, Nancy Stehman and Richard McBride. Pen and Ink: 1st prize, Scott Hershey; 2nd prize, Tina Simmons; 3rd prize, Rick Kinsey; Honorable Mention, Floyd Runkle and Vicki Fogie.
