Jr. High team drops opener The Donegal 7th & 8th grade boys basketball team opened the season against Manheim Central. They lost 41-28. High scorer for Donegal was Kolp (8 pts). Frey scored 6, Kennedy 4, Duke 2, Steinhart 2, and Zim- merman 2. Jr. high basketball team in action against Manheim Central Girl hoopsters scalp Manheim On Tuesday, November 30, Donegal Girls Varsity Basketball Team overpow- ered Manheim Central S0- 28. Kinsey scored 19 points for Donegal. Kolp scored 12, Merchant scored 11; Drager scored 4; and Heisey scored 2. On Friday, December 3rd, the Donegal girls basketball team lost their first league game to Co- lumbia, 35-60. Although they lost, the girls showed a lot of improvement over last year’s performance. Scoring for Donegal were: Kolp—16; Kinsey—4; Drager—4; Albright—3; Heisey—3; Merchant—3, and Kelly—2. Columbia’s top scorer was: Barb Vought—23. The J.V. girls lost 14 to 17. A. Musser was top scorer for Donegal with 6. Krizer was top score for Columbia with 8.
