Richard Kohler The celebration of World Communion on Sunday, October 3, 1976— at two services of worship (8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.)— will begin a month of many interesting and challenging programs and activities at St. Mark's United Metho- dist Church, Mount Joy. The Pastor, W. Richard Kohler, will continue his current preaching series on ““The Churches of the Revelation.”” Sunday, Oct- ober 10th, is Laity Sunday. In the evening at 7 p.m., the Rev. Martin Trostle of Harrisburg will share his marvelous audio-visual pre- sentation, ‘‘America, America!’’, with the con- gregation and community in Fellowship Hall. On October 17th the youth of the church will participate in large numbers in the annual ‘“‘Crop Walk" for world hunger. And then in the evening of that day the first of six evangelistic ser- vices, held jointly by St. Mark's Church and the Mount Joy Church of God, will take place with Mr. Bernard Briscoe of England as guest evangelist (7:30). The beginning of a brand new Wednesday evening series of Family Nights for the church will be launched on October 27th with a Carry-in — Supper at 6:30 p.m., followed by a unique live-puppet presentation by the Kensinger family. On subsequent Wednesday evenings there will be activities and interests for every age level at the church from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The church offers choral opportunities in four choirs, Cherub, Celestial, Wesley, and Chancel— each re- hearsing once a week under the able direction of Mrs. Marilyn Miller. MINISTERIUM The Maytown Minister- ium will be concluding its series on ‘Unity in Christ’ with a meeting on Thurs- day, September 30, at 7:30 p-m., at the Church of God, West Elizabeth Street Maytown. Host Pastor Ed Rosenberry will lead the meeting. Pastor Dennis Hall, of the Lutheran Church will lead our think- ing into the subject, *‘Unity in Mission.”’ On Sunday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m., the series will conclude with a ‘“‘Unity in Communion”, led by Pas- tor Paul N. Marsteller, of the Reformed Church. This will be held in the Brethren in Christ parsonage base- ment, N. Queen Street Extension (Endslow Road) just outside of Maytown. We will attempt to share in a communion as the first century Christians shared. These meetings are open to you the people and we trust you will be helped and encouraged to find “Unity in Christ.”’
