ST. MARK’S CHURCH
by W. Richard Kohler
The celebration of World
Communion on Sunday,
October 3, 1976— at two
services of worship (8 a.m.
and 10:15 a.m.)— will
begin a month of many
interesting and challenging
programs and activities at
St. Mark's United Metho-
dist Church, Mount Joy.
The Pastor, W. Richard
Kohler, will continue his
current preaching series on
““The Churches of the
Revelation.”” Sunday, Oct-
ober 10th, is Laity Sunday.
In the evening at 7 p.m.,
the Rev. Martin Trostle of
Harrisburg will share his
marvelous audio-visual pre-
sentation, ‘‘America,
America!’’, with the con-
gregation and community
in Fellowship Hall. On
October 17th the youth of
the church will participate
in large numbers in the
annual ‘“‘Crop Walk" for
world hunger. And then in
the evening of that day the
first of six evangelistic ser-
vices, held jointly by St.
Mark's Church and the
Mount Joy Church of God,
will take place with Mr.
Bernard Briscoe of England
as guest evangelist (7:30).
On October’s last Sunday
(31st) the ‘youth of the
church will be in charge of
the worship experience in
celebration of the Protest-

The beginning of a brand
new Wednesday evening
series of Family Nights for
the church will be launched
on October 27th with a
Carry-in — Supper at 6:30
p.m., followed by a unique
live-puppet presentation by
the Kensinger family. On
subsequent Wednesday
evenings there will be
activities and interests for
every age level at the
church from 7 p.m. to 8:30
p.m.
The church offers choral

Mrs. Marilyn Miller.

MINISTERIUM
The Maytown Minister-
ium will be concluding its
series on ‘Unity in Christ’
with a meeting on Thurs-
day, September 30, at 7:30
p-m., at the Church of
God, West Elizabeth Street
Maytown. Host Pastor Ed
Rosenberry will lead the
meeting. Pastor Dennis
Hall, of the Lutheran
Church will lead our think-
ing into the subject, *‘Unity
in Mission.”’
On Sunday, October 3, at
7:30 p.m., the series will
conclude with a ‘“‘Unity in
Communion”, led by Pas-
tor Paul N. Marsteller, of
the Reformed Church. This
will be held in the Brethren
in Christ parsonage base-
ment, N. Queen Street
Extension (Endslow Road)
just outside of Maytown.
We will attempt to share in
a communion as the first
century Christians shared.
These meetings are open
to you the people and we
trust you will be helped
and encouraged to find
“Unity in Christ.”’
