SPRING CARNIVAL Donegal High School's Spring Carnival was post- poned due to rain. The Carnival will be held this ‘Saturday May 8. | The newly-built, energy efficient house was open to the public beginning last Saturday. It incorporates the latest concepts in efficient use of energy in the areas of greatest energy use--heat- ing, cooling, and water heating, said Shunk. Visitors can find the house by following ‘‘Bicen- tennial Home’’ signs from the Manheim-Mount Joy exit of Route 283 for one mile along Strickler Road. David G. Heisey, Inc., of Elizabethtown built the home in Pleasant View Estates. PP&L cooperated in some of the experimental features. The house will be open to the public every Saturday and Sunday, now through August, excluding Memor- ial Day and July Fourth weekends. Builder repre- sentatives and PP&L resi- dential consultants will be on hand to explain the workings of the home’s energy saving features. Open house hours are 1 to S p.m. Tours are available at other times for clubs and community organizations.
