Installation and awards banquet held for MJ JC’s and JCette’s by Sarah Heckert The annual installation and awards banquet of the Mount Joy Jaycees and Mount Joy Joycee-ettes was held Saturday, April 3, 1976 at the Holiday Inn North Lancaster. Installed as president of the Jaycees was Gerald Nolt. Mr. Nolt, his wife, Joanne, son Jeff and daughter Jodi, live at R.D. #2 Mount Joy. Other mem- bers of the Jaycee’s board taking the oath of office were: First vice-president- Robert Stoner; Second vice- president-James Wetzel, Secretary-Robert Behling, Treasurer-Robert Hoffer, Directors-Douglas Witman Marietta JC’s The annual sale of Easter Flowers by the Marietta Jaycees will be conducted from their new location this year. The co-chairmen, Jay Risser and Harv Reem announce the site as the and Jeff Summy. William Bower will serve the board as past president. Mr. Bower presented awards to Robert Stoner- Outstanding Jaycee, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Blace and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Heckert-outstanding com- mittee chairmen. Special recognition award was made to Jeff Brown. ‘“Exhausted’’ from active Jaycee membership were William Grove and Samuel Harnish. Mrs. Sandra Gingrich took the oath of office as president of the Mount Joy Joyce-ettes. Mrs. Gingrich, her husband James and daughters Stacey and Step- hanie live at 217 Pinkerton New Jaycee Center, (former school) just off West Market Street, and North Waterford Avenue. The dates will be April 15th through April 17th. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday to Saturday. We will look Road, Mount Joy. The new officers of the Joyce-ettes will assume their duties in September and include; vice-president Kathy Bower Secretary-Harriet Ney, Treasurer-Sandra Meckley, Editor-LaVon Harnish, Director—Jacqueline Mc- Curdy, and past president- Sarah Heckert. The service allows homebound persons to bor- row paperbacks, hardbacks, Large Print materials, and cassette tapes by mail, free of charge. Catalogs from which books and cassette tapes may be ordered are sent to the user’s home. For local organizations whose membership includes persons that may be inter- ested, a Library representa- tive is available to speak at group meetings.
