Firefighters doused a field fire Saturday, March 20, 12:37 P.M. on Garfield Road. Thirty men responded and were in service thirty minutes. At 12:08 P.M. Sunday, March 21, Friendship doused seven to ten spot fires from Nissley’s Con- struction site, west of Salunga, to Newcomer Road east of Mount Joy. busy reports The first fire was reported by a past fire chief Ray Myers who was on his way to the firehouse. Before firemen could re- spond, two more fires were reported. One engine responded to each call. The other fires were spotted and extinguished by firefighters checking along the RR tracks. The cause of the fires was a work train in the area. The department was in service one hour with thirty men responding. Father John Smith was celebrant. Besides her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Foehlinger, Col- umbia; paternal great- grandmother, Mrs. Anna Murr, Lancaster; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
