Call 696-5233 for qualifica- tions and appointments. g\USEmary Ann Shaver oraduates with honors Rosemary Ann Shaver, of Shavetown, graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Universi- ty of Scranton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science as well as a Theology/Religious Studies minor and Peace and Justice Studies concentration. Shaver was the recipient of the Prof. Frank C. Brown Award or Excellence in History and e Prof. Timothy H. Scully ward for Excellence in Politi- cal Science for holding the high- est grade point average in histo- ry and political science. She was a member of the Honors Program, Who's Who, president and member of Alpha Sigma Nu, Alpha Lambda Del- ta, Phi Alpha Theta, Phi Sigma Alpha, Pi Gamma Mu and The- ta Alpha Kappa honor society. She was also editor in chief of the Aquinas, the university's student newspaper, during her senior year after serving as a staff writer and section editor. As part of this role, she repre- sented the Student Publica- tions Board as a member of the President’s Student Cabinet. During her four years at The University of Scranton, Shaver participated in the Royals His- torical Society, Environmental- ly Concerned Organization (ECO), the Political Society, Trinity Journal and was a Clear Water Action intern during the summer 2011. She is a Scully Scholar and re- ceived the university’s Wein- Rosemary Ann Shaver berg Library Research Award. She was previously awarded the Frank O’Hara Bronze Award (CAS) for 2008-2009, awarded to the student with the highest GPA in each class; the 2010 Frank Sabatino Scholarship, awarded to one sophomore his- tory major; the 2011 Volpe Scholarship, awarded to one ju- nior Political Science major; and the 2011 Scully Scholar- ship, awarded to one student to pursue a summer internship. Upon graduation, she will pursue a master’s degree. The daughter of Paul and Ro- saria Shaver, of Shavertown, she has two brothers, Paul IV and Peter.
