Although the banners represent indi- vidual veterans, Lions Club members hope the display represents all area veterans past and present who have served and sacrificed to pre- serve and defend our freedoms. The banners will be on display throughout the summer and con- clude on Veteran’s Day at which time they will be given to the family members and/or sponsors. Corporal Joseph J. Sergeant Tom Doughton Sr. served with the U.S. Army during WW2 (1942 - 1945). He fought in the North African Campaign, the battle of Tunisia and the invasion of Sicily.
