PAGE 4 Sunday, January 23, 2011 LOCAL CHURCH SENDS CHRISTMAS JOY HOME WITH CHILDREN THE DALLAS POST GOH ALTAR & ROSARY SOCIETY INSTALLS OFFICERS The Mission Outreach Committee at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas has been a sponsor- ing church of the Back Pack Program for several years, sending food home with children for the weekend to ensure that they have nourishing food to eat. Every Christmas season, church mem- bers also send home gifts for the children consisting of clothing, books, toys, stuffed animals and much more. This year was no exception as committee members gathered to pack and distribute items donated by members of the congregation. From left, are Alice Kocher, C. Pasties may be picked up on Thursday after 8:30 a.m. Ham supper planned A ham supper will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Benton United Methodist Church, Main Street, Benton. The menu includes ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, string bean casserole, pickled cabbage, jello salad, pie or cake, iced team, lemonade, hot tea or coffee. Cost is $8.50 for adults and $4.50 for children ages 6 to 12. Children age 5 and under are free. Take-outs are available. Dinner, bake sale set A chicken and biscuit dinner and bake sale will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Loyalville United Methodist Church. Cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Takeouts are available by calling 477-3521 and leaving your name, phone number, number of dinner re- quested and pickup time.
