She was born in Richmond, Va., and was a graduate of Ma- rion High School, Marion, Va. She was a member of the Alder- son United Methodist Church. Surviving are children, Daniel B., Lansing, Mich.; Robert G., Wilkes-Barre; George L., Noxen,; and Jean Cabrera, Harveys Lake, with whom she resided; eight grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren. DOROSKY - Rose M., 84, for- merly of Dallas, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Regal Heights Nursing and Rehabilita- tion Center, Hockessin, Del. Surviving are her son, Edward D.; a grandson; a sister, Sophie Pastuszak; several nieces and nephews. DYMOND - Floyd W., of Fox Road, Tunkhannock, died Sun- day, November 14, 2010, at his home. He was born in Eaton Town- ship on September 5, 1936. Prior to his retirement, he was em- ployed as a laborer at several dif- ferent jobs in Wyoming County. Surviving are brothers, Glen and Fred, both of Tunkhannock; sister, Dorothy Rezykowski, Clarks Summit; several nieces and nephews. HARVEY - Jule C., 64, of Whippoorwill Road, Tunkhan- nock, died Wednesday, Novem- ber 10, 2010, at Mercy Hospice, Scranton. She was born on November 30, 1945, was a 1963 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and of Wilkes-Barre Business Col- lege. She was employed at Barti- kowsky Jewelry Store, Wilkes- Barre and was a housekeeper for several homes in Tunkhannock. Surviving are her mother, Lu- cille Meeker Harvey; brothers, Monroe Harvey, Lander N.Y.; Norman, Las Vegas Nev.; Stirel (Butch), Laceyville; and Mark, Paul and Jonathan, all of Tunk- hannock; sisters, Patricia Thom- son, Calabash N.C.; Millie Snyd- er, Lima, Ohio; Inez Knutson, White Lake, Minn.; Alice Daven- port, Hunlock Creek; Esther, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Virgin- ia Welna, Bloomington, Minn.; nieces, nephews, cousins, great- nieces and nephews. MARKO - Mrs. Marian E. (Kelly), 83, of Dallas, died Mon- day, November 8, 2010. She was born on May 20, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, and resided in Plains Township for most of her life. She was employed by the for- mer American Cigar Co. and First Eastern Bank prior to re- tirement. She was a member of the Catholic Community of Plains Township. Surviving are her daughter, Patti Blazaskie, of Shavertown,; one granddaughter; brothers, Francis Kelly, of Plains Town- ship; Donald Kelly, of Alaska; and Charles Kelly, of Wilkes- Barre; sisters, Helen Bellas and Ruth Masday, both of Plains Township; nieces and nephews. McMANUS - Karen, 68, of Dallas, died Saturday, Novem- ber 13, 2010, at Hospice Care of the VNA in Wilkes-Barre. She was born on January 19, 1942 in Wilkes-Barre, and was a resident of Luzerne where she was a member of the parishes of Sacred Heart and Holy Family for more than 50 years. A 1964 graduate of Lake-Leh- man High School, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of Dallas American Le- gion Post 672. WENTZEL - Francis Earl (Sonny), 75, of Idetown, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, in the Hospice Care of the VNA In- patient Unit, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Lehman Township on November 2, 1935, and was a resident of Idetown for most of his life. He was a 1954 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School. He was employed at Wagner Construction in Kingston and then in Philadelphia at Acme Trucking Co. and Greeby Con- struction. He worked for Amer- ican Asphalt Paving Co., Shaver- town, as a supervisor/ heavy- duty equipment mechanic for 34 years, retiring on February 17, 1998. He was a Lehman Township police officer and a volunteer firefighter at Lehman Fire Co. He was also a life member of the Idetown Fire Co. and a former Boy Scout leader, with Lehman Pack 241. Surviving are his sister, Ruth Plata, Shavertown; his children, Richard Sr., Kenneth, Sandra Blaine and Scott; 10 grandchil- dren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. WILLIAMS - The Rev. David R., 86, of Pikes Creek, died Fri- day, November 12, 2010, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born December 6, 1923, in New Woodstock, N.Y., was a graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. and was ordained in 1949. His first assignment was co- pastor of the Immanuel Luthe- ran Church in Perryville, Mo. and then he served as pastor in the following Lutheran Church- es: Redeemer in Corning, N.Y.; St. Martin's in Colden, N.Y.; St. John’s in Emporium; St. Peter’s in Wilkes-Barre; St. Matthew’s in Weissport; and St. Luke’s Ref- ormation in Noxen. After his retirement, he be- came a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Dallas. He served on the Education Com- mittee of the Eastern District of the Missouri Synod and was a circuit councilor and vice-presi- dent of the district. He was active with the Red Cross Blood Services, Interfaith Flood Recovery, the Metropoli- tan Lutheran Council and the Council of Churches. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, the former Bertha Dribel- bis; daughters, Jeanette Nie- meyer, Beth Sheeran and Patri- cia Brosious; a son, the Honor- able Thomas Creasing; sisters, Frances Janke and Lorena Che- ney; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
