The scholarships, underwrit- ten by Procter & Gamble’s Live, Learn and Thrive Program, help defray the cost of attending the camps at Penn State Wilkes- Barre this summer. The scholarships will cover the cost of the camp, lunch and trans- portation fees and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for those who qualify. According to Procter & Gam- ble’s Web site, Live, Learn and Thrive is a “global initiative” of- fering assistance in more than 60 countries worldwide with a goal of providing physical, social and educational support for children and adolescents. This summer, Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Educa- tion is offering 25 enrichment and five athletic camps, includ- ing five brand new camps, during the weeks of July 12-16, 19-23 and 26-30. The camps are designed to en- gage young children and teens of all grade levels to become phys- ically active and creative.
