During her three years in of- fice, Senator Baker said she has actively pushed legisla- tion, proved accessible throughout the district and demonstrated accountability by accepting only actual ex- penses, saving taxpayers thou- sands of dollars. “I listen to the concerns peo- ple express, discuss issues with individuals and groups across the district and make sure that state officials re- spond to the problems, pro- jects and priorities that emerge in our communities, Bak- er said.” Senator Baker sees herself as is a key player in the effort to strike the right balance in the gas drill- ing in the Marcellus Shale, allow- ing the region to realize the jobs and economic benefits while en- suring that water and land are properly protected.
