Looking back on her exciting and fun-filled day, Russell had one more thought: “They were really cute in per- son, both Taylor and Robert, and they seem like sweet guys,” she said. Trucksville residents Kaylin Russell, left, and her mother, Carol, attended the “Live with Regis and Kelly” on Nov. 19 after Kaylin won a contest on Twitter for two tickets to the show. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon" stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner both taped interviews on the set of the show that day. TENNIS Continued from Page 1 plays basketball for her school in the winter. Nathalie says the CTC im- proved her skills last year and she hopes to learn even more this year. “I think it helped a lot be- cause I played more doubles over the summer with my friends and I could see an im- provement,” she said. “It’s the game that really interests me and the part of getting on the court and doing what you can do and hitting what you can hit and seeing yourself im- prove along the way. It’s fun to see yourself and know you're getting better.” Anita Ghosh, 14, says she and her older brother, Bijoy, 17, were introduced to tennis on a family vacation with their parents, Sumit and Martha Ghosh. “When I was eight and my brother was 10, we went to Hilton Head,” Ghosh said. “My brother started there and I kind of started taking it more seriously when I was 10 because of my brother.” “It's a really, really big deal. It's quite an honor for these kids to be involved.” Tim Haus USPTA professional Ghosh is in the ninth-grade at Wyoming Seminary Upper School where she also plays third-level singles on the girls tennis team. Ghosh started taking lessons at Birchwood Tennis and Fitness Center four years ago when she and her family moved to Dallas from Danville. This is her first year in the CTC. “I hope to play against more kids, not just having lessons and stuff,” Ghosh said. “It will be more fun and more people to meet and play with again after this.” Allison Joanlanne feels there is a local need for the CTC. “It’s definitely needed in this area,” Allison Joanlanne said. “It’s an actual fact that in the Middle States Section of the US- TA our district is the weakest as far as rankings go across the state, so we really need someone like Tim to do this in our sec- tion.” fresh, modern, mantle-worthy cards: linkwritenow.etsy.com / 7 - a linkwritenow.com | 570.696.0533 | buy local LL ELT 156215 4 "THE LARGEST SELECTION | OF THE MOST NATURAL LOOKING TREES OVER 75 TREES ON DISPLAY! + 270 10’ HIGH » TRIM-A-TREE ITEMS NO ASSEMBLY 2 + SLIM LINE » WREATHS & GARLANDS || REQUIRED! 1 | > BIRCH » WHITE TREES + LIGHTS & ORNAMENTS | p= RE, $1475.00 7%) + PRE-LIT TREES » REVOLVING TREE STANDS | | = ~~ 10X10 KITCHEN ASSHOWN ~~ J «+ FIBER OPTIC TREES * OUTDOOR LIGHTED ITEMS SPACE ALLOWED FOR RANGE, DISHWASHER, AND REF.
