These members not only represented Luzerne Coun- ty but the seven counties that comprise the 4-H Horse District. DALLAS YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE Nicole Wren dumps in 5th & 6th GRADE GIRLS Gattuso Group 20 Smith Insurance 18 Nicole Wren led her team with 16 points and 13 rebounds to give the Gattuso Group Silver Stars a 20-18 win over the Smith Insur- ance Group Storm. Ivy Chamberlain and Julia Zo- chowski added two points each to the Silver Stars total while Maggie Rinehart had three re- bounds. Katie Snedecker and Catherine Dillion led the Storm, scoring with six points each while Miranda Roche added four. Sidney Neil played assertive defense for the Storm. UPS Store 22 Grasshopper Lawns 18 Olivia Mennig and Alexa Do- siak scored overtime baskets to lead the UPS Store Sun over the Grasshopper Lawns Mercury, 22- 18. 6 points, grabs 13 rebounds to lead team Megan Miller and Carley Per- loff played great defense and re- bounded well for the Sun. Talia Kosierowski and Katie Kravitsky led the scoring for the Mercury while Mikayla Sowga and Riley Oremus led the de- fense. Geibs Sheetrocking 26 Amory Medical 20 Caroline Banas scored 10 points to give the Geibs Shee- trocking Sky a 26-20 win over the Amory Medical Sparks. Sam Stier and Janelle Sherman led the defense for the Sky. Courtney Hoats led the Sparks’ scoring with 15 points and Taryn Chopyak added four. Great de- fense was played by Anna Lehane and Kim Pretko. Brace’s Orchard 24 Bendick Law 23 Emilee Zawatski’s 18 points and a last-second basket gave the Brace’s Orchard Monarchs a 24- 23 win over the Bendick Law Of- fice Liberty. Brielle Brace scored 11 points for the Liberty and Leah Gorr added six. Outstanding defensive effort _was performed by Alyssa Parente and Jackie Dottor for the Liberty. Arden Rice and Ally Rome added four and two points, respectively, for the Monarchs. McCabe Mortgage 18 Central Clay 12 Lauren Dottor scored seven points and Sam Delamater added four as the McCabe Mortgage Group Shock defeated the Cen- tral Clay Products Fever, 18-12. Jessie Stuart pulled down three rebounds for the Shock. Madalyn Kelley led the scoring for the Fever with eight points and Lia Barbacci added two. A strong team defense for.the ‘ Fever was led by Nicole Cava- naugh and Kaitlyn Pelchar. = Youth basketball league sets picture day for January 9 The Dallas Youth Basketball League will hold its annual picture day on Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Dallas Middle School. Players should arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled time. Players should wear their team t-shirts and should not bring basket- balls.
