After throwing an interception and fumbling the football, Dallas quarterback Adam Goeringer re- deemed himself when he broke loose for a 30-yard touchdown run to lead the Mountaineers past North Pocono, 21-14, in a District 2 Class 3A semifinal game at Dallas stadium last Saturday. Goeringer’s teammate Jim Roccograndi recovered the loose ball after the fumble and, three plays later, Georinger scored his second rushing touchdown of the game in addition to one through the air. Goeringer rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another while the Dallas defense dom- inated a potent North Pocono attack for most of the game en route to advancing to this weekend's cham- pionship game. Second-seeded Dallas (10-1) was scheduled to face top-seeded Abington Heights (10-1) at Scranton Me- morial Stadium. Abington Heights advanced with a 53- 19 pounding of No. 4 seed Berwick. The Mountaineer defense limited North Pocono to 176 yards of total offense with 71 of those coming on two complete passes in the final two minutes of the game.
