Previ- ously, she was employed by Met- Life, Clarks Summit, and Natona Mills, Dallas. She was a member of the Sha- vertown United Methodist Church and the 12th Masonic District Widows. CASTERLINE - Elizabeth A. “Beth” Casterline, 98, of Ide- town, died Monday, July 6, 2009 at Lakeside Nursing Center, Har- veys Lake, where she had been a resident for six years. Born in Edwardsville on Au- gust 17, 1910, she was a graduate of Edwardsville High School, Class of 1929. She was a member of the Leh- man-Idetown United Methodist Church and a former member of the Jonathon R. Davis Fire Com- pany Auxiliary. Hooper, 85, of McAuley Drive, Dallas, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Med- ical Center. Born September 12, 1923 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a member of Firwood United Methodist Church, Old River Road, Wilkes- Barre. He was a graduate of Har- ter High School, West Nanticoke, Class of 1941. In January 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was aboard the USS Munising 1228 during his service time. He was employed for 33 years by the Acme Mar- kets. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Marjorie Sie- gel; daughters, Marilyn Carey, of Kingston; Marcia Moore, of Ha- nover Township; four grandchil- dren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Harrison, of King- ston; and several nieces and ne- phews.
