FEDERICI - Daniel “Duke” Thomas, 69, of Trucksville, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Born June 16,1939 in Scranton, he was a graduate of Westmore- land High School and had attend- ed King’s College. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the Citizens’ Voice, of which he was one of the founders. He was a member of the Irem Golf Association, the George M. Dallas Lodge #531, F. & A.M. and the Shriners of North America. He was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown and was a coach of Back Mountain Baseball for many years. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Ruth Elizabeth Phillips; children, Cheryl Evans, of Harrisburg; Karen R.
