Fearsome ‘pirate’ at Sem What's the difference be- tween playing a pirate on stage and actually being a pirate? One y to find out is to laugh along with the Wyoming Seminary Middle School Players when they present the delightful com- edy “The Fearsome Pirate Frank” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, in the Amato Auditorium at the Lower School, 1560 Wyom- ing Ave., Forty Fort. An encore performance will also be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Tickets to the production, which is open to the public, are $2 and will be sold at the door. Written by popular children’s theater playwright Pat Lyder- sen, “The Fearsome Pirate Frank” tells the story of an actor in Shakespeare’s day who stars in a popular play about pirates and is idolized by all the teen- aged girls, even though he can’t remember any of his lines. When the actor and the rest of the cast get kidnapped by the re- al Pirate Frank, they discover that being a pirate means lots of hard labor on a pirate ship. They also discover that the fearsome Pirate Frank is not who he ap- pears to be. With plenty of references to modern day pirate stories, this pop-culture spoof offers lots of laughs.
