The two teams met earlier in the season with Back Mountain taking a 36-22 victory. The winner of this game will play either Dallas or Kingston Township in the Super Bowl on Sunday, Nov. 9. B TEAM Kingston Township 38 Duryea 8 The Kingston Township Raiders clinched second seed- ing in the WVWYFCC with a 38-8 victory over the Duryea Wildcats last Sunday. The Raiders jumped out to an 8-0 lead on a quarterback sneak by Michael Olenginski on the first Raider drive. On the very next drive, Omar Nijmeh broke an inside run for a 55-yard touchdown run, putting the Raiders up, 16-0. Two Corey Patrick touch- down runs and another by Nij- meh, followed by a Tanner Gat- tuso conversion, rounded off the Raider scoring for the day. The Raiders’ defense proved too much for the Wildcats as they did not allow a first down all day behind a strong defen- sive effort led by Chris Knecht, Peter Capitano, Matt Wargo, Ja- son Anderson and Michael Golden. Again, the interior of- fensive line punished the Wild- cat defensive front behind Mitch Kelly, David Edwards, Ja- son Morgan, Ryan Martin and Bret Storrs. The Raiders will now enter the playoffs as second seed in the league and play the Exeter Panthers at 1:30 p.m. today at Lake-Lehman High School with the winner moving on to the Su- .. per Bowl. C TEAM Kingston 30 Dallas 8 : The Dallas Jr. Mounts C team concluded its regular season with a 30-8 loss to Kingston. Kingston started early by re- turning the opening kickoff for a touchdown and a quick 6-0 lead. Dallas responded with a long touchdown drive capped by a Josh Lydon 1-yard plunge. Jus- tin Hutchins added the 2-point- er for an 8-6 lead. Kingston add- ed six more before the half. Justin Thompson picked off the conversion pass and Dallas went into the half, down 12-8. Despite strong efforts by Conor Maloney, Charles Harry, Conor and Ryan Phillips and Christian Golodsmith, the Jr. Mounts were unable to pull off the come- back. The Kingston ° Township Raiders D team finished up a 9-1 regular season with a hard- fought 14-0 victory over the Du- ryea Wildcats. Mason Gattuso got the Raid- ers on the board early with a long touchdown run and Derek Answini added a conversion and a touchdown of his own to round out the scoring. The blocking was solid all day with Michael Doggett, Kyle McAndrew, Devon Butwin and Michael Starbuck leading the way. Defensively, KT was able to keep the Wildcats off the board with Christian Motley, Matt Maransky and Tyler Meyer in on numerous plays. The Raiders start the playoffs at 10 a.m. today against the West Pittston Rams at Lake-Lehman
