Swoyersville 6 The Kingston Township Raid- ers B team improved to 7-1 with an offensive explosion last Sun- day in Swoyersville. The Raiders scored touch- downs using six different players with a balanced ground and air attack, resulting in 430 yards of offense. Peter Capitano started the offensive onslaught, scoring with an 8-yard inside run against a tough Sailor defense. Chris Knecht and Aaron Klia- movich also scored on touch- down runs behind the powerful offensive front led by Mitch Kelly, Shawn Spencer and Bret Storrs. Corey Patrick contributed with 89 receiving yards and a 42-yard touchdown reception from Mi- chael Olenginski, who passed for 102 yards on the day. Tanner Gattuso scored the fifth Raiders’ touchdown set up from a long, 47-yard pass completion to Patrick. Michael Olenginski rounded off the scoring with the Raiders’ sixth touchdown of the day. Again, Omar Nijmeh’s tough inside running, combined with contributions from Ryan Martin, Jason Morgan, Bret Stors and Kyle Piskorik, kept the Sailor de- fense off balance all day. Nijmeh, Michael Golden and Ryan Boe- decker anchored a stingy Raider defense that did not give up a touchdown play from scrim- mage. : C TEAM Kingston 26 Back Mountain 12 The Back Mountain Bobcats suffered another disappointing loss, this time to the Kingston Huskies, 26-12. The Bobcats’ offense started at the 45-yard line with carries by Zack Gabel and Danny Schnable scored on the next drive and com- go up, 80. Cameron Brennan returned the ball for the Bobcats to the 35- yard line. Carries were made by Stone Mannello, Nick Whitesell and Nate O'Donnell and great of- fense was displayed by Chris Al- len, Tom Piatt, Eric DeReemer, Erik Sweppenheiser, Nate Hazel- tine, Ian Evan and Owen Morgan but the Back Mountain boys were unable to get a first down and turned the ball over on downs. The Huskies took over at the 50-yard line and, following great tackles by Zack Hill and Joe Ciac- cia, Nick Whitesell intercepted a pass and returned the ball to the 45-yard line.
