She was born on May 20, 1908, in Dallas. For many years she was employed at Luzerne Outerwear, Shickshinny, and also was a Dutch Maid dealer. Surviving is her daughter, Betty Jean Keller, Orangeville; son, Robert, Shickshinny; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grand- children; and eight great-great- grandchildren. DYMOND - Harold L., 82, of Swiftwater, formerly of Dallas, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at ~ Kingston Commons, Kingston. Harold was born at home in Franklin Township on Septem- ber 2, 1925. Before beginning his lifelong career as a golf pro, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, where he earned the rank of corporal and was honorably discharged in 1946. He owned the Lakeway Driving Range on the Memorial Highway in Dallas for 18 years. During that time, he also was the golf pro at the Country Club of Scranton until 1979. He later became the golf pro at Mount Airy Lodge until 1992. He was a lifetime member of the Professional Golf Associ- ation. Surviving are his wife, Dianne; daughter, Kayse, of Swiftwater; children, Linda Watkins, Deltona, Fla.; Gary Dymond, Atlanta, Ga.; and Deb- bie Dymond, Dallas; brothers, Robert, Dallas; and Albert, Tunkhannock; sisters, Eula Lewis, Dallas; Nancy Bartle- baugh, Walkersville, Md.; Betty Gansel, Frederick, Md.; and Doris Pyatt, Silver Spring, Md.; and three grandchildren. She was born in Luzerne and resided there for many years. She also resided with her daugh- ter for 32 years in Shavertown and Lancaster. She was a mem- ber of St. Ann’s/Holy Family Parish in Luzerne. Surviving are her daughter, Dorothy Redmond, of Lancas- ter; one grandchild; one great- grandson; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. KLIAMOVICH - Robert, 48, of sisters, Mary King, of York; Noxen, died July 18, 2008 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Med- ical Center, Plains Township. . He was born May 1, 1960 in Wilkes-Barre. Surviving are his mother, Mildred Kliamovich, Harvéys Lake; sisters Mildred (Sissy) Murdock, West Wyoming; Jac- queline Benscoter, Montrose; brothers, Algert (Sonny) K., Noxen, Donald, South Carolina, and Michael, Harveys Lake. LEARNED - Ethel Frey, 88, of Tunkhannock, died Sunday at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunk- hannock. Born in Brownsville, Pa., she was a member of the Tunk- hannock United Methodist Church. Surviving are sons, Fred Frey, of Kingston; Gerald Frey, of Bryn Mawr; eight grandchil- dren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Vago, of Tunkhannock; Arthur Vago, of Aurora, Colo.; and nieces and nephews. MARCHAKITUS - Virginia K., 83 of Lehman Township, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Hos- pice Care Of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Virginia was born in Lake Township, June 3, 1925. After graduating from Laketon High School, she received her teach- ing degree from Bloomsburg State Teacher’s College and continued her graduate work at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, and Marywood College, Scran- ton. Virginia taught in the Lake- Lehman School District for 39 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the International Educational Soror- ity, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association. Surviving are her husband, Anthony; daughter, Linda, of Centreville, Va.; son, Mark, of Wellesley, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
