The win advanced Back Mountain to the Section 5 Tournament against Mountain Top, Lackawanna (from Scranton) and Carbino Club (near Jes- sup) being hosted by BMT Little League at Kubis Field. Back Mountain pitcher Hayden Jen- kins threw six innings, striking out five batters and allowing one run to lead Back Mountain to its sixth consecutive Junior League district title. Jenkins was also one of four hitters to compile tow hits in the game, joining Drew Brandt, John McCarthy and Mike Banas. BMT 15 Lackawanna 5 Back Mountain scored 10 unearned runs with two outs in the fifth inning to finish off D-17 champion Lackawanna, 15-5, in a Section 5 Little League Base- ball major division tournament game Monday night. Summer basketball camps open The Rock Recreation Center, 340 Carverton Rd., is accepting registrations for its summer basketball camps open to boys and girls kindergarten through sixth-grade. Space is limited to 40 campers per week. Camp dates are: K through first-grade, July 21-25; second and third-grade, July 28- Aug. 1; fourth to sixth-grade, July 14-18 and August 4-8.
