Adam Niznik led McCarthy Tire with 10 points, while Frank Bevevino, Anthony DeLuca and Andrew Matcho added a basket each. 5TH &6TH GRADE PLAYOFFS Medico Industries 40 DJ Charlie Hayes 22 Mariano Medico scored: 14 points and Chad DeBona and Aa- ron Napkora added 11 each as top seed Medico Industries advanced to the semifinals with a 40-22 win over DJ Charlie Hayes in the Dal- las Youth Basketball fifth and sixth grade playoffs. Jake Archer added a bucket for Medico, while J.T. Carey led Charlie Hayes with 10 points. Mike Mihal added four points and Billy Gately had two. Brace’s Orchard 38 Banas, Byron & Kim 29 Chase Makowski scored 13 points and Dominic DeLuca add- ed 10 as Brace’s Orchard defeated Dr. Banas, Dr. Bryon and Dr. Kim, 38-29, in a quarterfinal matchup. Josh Evans played an excellent game on both ends, adding seven points. Brian Banas led the doctors with 16 points, while James Flores added five and Jonathan Wilson four. The tryout was open to boys between the ages of 10 and 11 years and who are in fourth or fifth grade. The AAU basketball season for this team runs March 17 | through April 28.
