The fourth grade boys will hold their skills competition on Monday, Jan. 28, while the third grade boys event will take place on Wed. Jan. 30. Start time each night is 5:30 pm. The top three in free throws and lay-ups in each grade will receive trophies. LL frosh win big Skudalski chipped in 10 as the Dallas fresh- man girls basketball team defeated Lake- Lehman, 46-23, last week on the Lady Black Knights’ home court. DYB ALL-STARS WIN TOURNAMENTS a The Dallas Youth Basketball (DYB) Seventh Grade Boys All-Star team re- cently captured both the Freeland YMCA Christmas tournament and the Scranton Riverfront Backcourt Hoops Christmas 2007 tournament. The team defeated Hazleton, Free- land and Conyngham Valley in the fi- nals in the first tournament. The team then defeated St. Paul's, Our Lady of Peace and previously undefeated St. Ann's in the finals of the Scranton Tournament. Tryouts for the Boys U-14 eighth grade team will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today, Jan. 13. Cost for the tryout is $10 per play- er. Free Throw Contest planned All boys and girls ages 10-14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2008 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship.
