Relay For Life Team meets on Monday The Back Mountain Relay For Life Team will host a meeting to discuss this year’s Relay at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan 14, in the Heritage Room of the library on the campus of Misericordia University. This year’s relay will take place May 30 and 31 at Misericordia. Planning meetings are open to any interested persons look- ing for more information on the relay itself, how to acquire spon- sors, fundraisers, etc. The Back Mountain team is also looking to fill some key positions. Teams who register by January 31 enjoy a $50 discount. Auditions scheduled Auditions for “Hello, Dolly!” will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, Jan. 13 and 14, at the Music Box Dinner Play- house, 196 Hughes St., Swoyers- ville. There are roles for men and women ages 16 and over. Those auditioning should bring sheet music; an accompanist will be available. NHCA plans DJ dance The Noxen Historical Com- munity Association (NHCA) will sponsor a DJ dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday Jan.18, at the Noxen School. Music will be provided D&D DJs, door prizes will be awarded and food and refreshments will be available. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students. The school-level Bee, at which students an- swered oral questions on geography, was the first round in the 20th Annual Nation- al Geographic Bee. All top school win- ners across the state, including Chris, will now take a written test. The top 100 scorers will be eligible to compete in the Pennsylvania State Bee on April 4. The National Geographic Society will provide an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., for state champions to participate in the National Geographic Bee national championship on May 20 and 21.
