DYB 6th-grade boys defeated The Dallas Youth Basketball sixth grade boys tour- nament team competed in the Backcourt Hoops Tour- nament and the Sunday Lehman League over the Christmas weekend. DYB lost to West Scranton, 40-21, at the Backcourt Hoops opening round game. Justin Brojakowski scored four points for Dallas while Nigel Stearns and Blake Williams added two points each. Chris Behm had several key assists. Gate of Heaven defeated Dallas, 39-22, at the Leh- man League behind Chase Makowski’s 11 points. Mar- iano Medico and Michael Boland combined for an ad- ditional 18 points, while Tyler Kukosky added six points and controlled the boards. Chad DeBona led Dallas with eight points, while Kyle Razawich and Aaron Napkora added six points each. Matt Saba add- ed two points. The Dallas Middle School soccer team finished the year as the Wyoming Valley Conference champions.
