The tryout is open to boys 12 years of age or younger and in the sixth grade. The AAU basketball season runs March 17 through June 15, 2008. Cost for the tryout is $10 per player. Indoor soccer league seeks players and teams The Back Mountain Youth Soccer Winter Indoor Soccer /Futsal League is seeking teams and individual players for its league. The season runs on weekends from January 4 - March 9, 2008. All games are played at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre gym with the new low-bounce FUTSAL ball. DYB sixth graders open season with win The DYB boys sixth grade basketball tournament team opened its season with a 41-22 win over Valley West Red in the Annual Sixth Grade Sunday Lehman Basketball League. Chad DeBona scored nine points while Chris Behm and Kyle Razawich added eight points each. Aaron Nap- kora added six points and led the team in rebounds while Justin Brojakowski had four points. @ryan Martin leads Quad Three to victory Ryan Martin scored a game-high 16 points while Daniel Mingey and Jimmy Barlow added six points each to lead Quad Three Group to a 32-12 win over Metlife Securities in the opening game of the Third/Fourth grade boys basket- ball season. Jacob Stritzinger and Joey Bevevino added two points each for Quad. Kyle Archer led Metlife Securities with eight points while Tim Elston and Anthony Brominski had two each. Brendan Balara pulled down several key rebounds. Spencer Bowanko scored 14 points to lead Fieldhouse Sporting Goods to a 28-19 win over Eastern Penn Supply Co. Lee Eckert controlled the rebound- ing and Kyle Piscorik played fine de- fense for Fieldhouse. Ray Anthony Ostroski led Eastern Penn with 10 points and Chad Phillips added seven. Peter Capitano and Nick Mathers played excellent defense. Alum return for soccer win he alumni may have taken the game a little more seriously than the varsity soccer players did. In any event, the alumni fared bet- ter than the varsity, capturing an 8-3 victory in the Annual Dallas Alumni/ Varsity Soccer game. According to Tom Youells, president of the Dallas Soccer Booster Club, the game has been held for about five or six years and attracted approximately 10 alumni soccer players this year.
