As a highlight, all attended the Army-Temple football game, took a tour of the campus by Cadet Ash Holtszman and camped at the Hudson Valley Boy Scout Council camp- grounds. SCOUTS EARN AVIATION MERIT BADGE Boy Scouts from Troop 155 Trucksville earned their Aviation Merit Badge at the Wyoming Valley Airport in Forty Fort recently. Ashley Vanscoy, a senior at Lake-Lehman High School, organized the event as her senior project. Pilots Ron gitkos, Joe Scrobola and Briget Vanscoy instructed the boys and piloted the planes as they flew over the Back Mountain area. DJHS cross country teams win District Il AAA titles The Dallas Junior High cross country teams finished their sea- sons on a winning note as the boys team won a second consec- utive PIAA District II AAA title and the girls placed second in AA. Both teams were crowned Ed Narkiewicz All League Meet champions. The girls team finished with an undefeated record of 14 wins and 0 losses and were Wyoming Val- ley Conference champions. The boys finished with 13 wins and one loss, which they later avenged at both the All League Meet and District Meet. At the District meet, the boys were led by Kevin Gilbert in sec- ond, Tanner Baloh in eighth, Alex Zubko in 10th, Jess Adams in 16th and Carl Zimmerman in 35th. The girls were led by Chelsey Conahan in third, Alexis Arnold in eighth, Lindsay Danko in 10th, Elaina Tomaselli in 15th and Lynn Viercinski in 23rd. Most Valuable Player awards for the season went to Kevin Gil- bert and Chelsey Conahan, Most Improved to Tanner Baloh and Amelia Pietraccini and Most Promising to Alex Zubko and Alexis Arnold.
