Moving beyond the tradition- al handbell sound by combining various instruments and using advanced ringing techniques, PHE has redefined the charac- ter of what is still considered a single instrument. This “rare find among hand- bell ensembles,” according to Abington Symphony Orchestra conductor John Sall, is conduct- ed by internationally known handbell clinician Kermit D. Junkert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children and are available by calling 675- 3616 or at the door. Additional information on the concert is available at www.shavertownumec.com.
