Local youth cheerleaders from 10 teams within the WVWYFCC competed, including the Back Mountain Bobcats, Dallas Junior Mounts, Duryea Wildcats, Edwards- ville Eagles, Exeter Panthers, Forty Fort Flyers, Kingston Huskies, Kingston Township Raiders, Plymouth Shawnee Indians, and the Swoyersville Sailors. Tackles made by Chris Ostrum, Logan Bullock, Ben Kon, Austin Smith, Shane Dunn, Macosky, Dixon, Behm, Simonov- ich and Wanek kept the Swoyersville Sailors at bay. B TEAM Junior Mounts 26 Swoyersville Sailors 12 The Dallas B Team showed why it is the top-seeded team in the league with an impressive 26-12 win over Swoyers- ville. the board early. The Dallas defense kept Swoyersville scoreless in the first quar- ter. In the second quarter, the Dallas de- fense kept rolling with an impressive drive that ended with Mikey Shutlock skirting into the end zone from two yards out. Mark Michno added two points on the conversion. Swoyersville got on the board late in the first half with a fourth down pass from 15 yards out. The half ended 14-6 in favor of Dallas. In the second half, the Dallas offensive machine delivered more of the same. In the third quarter, Zapoticky again con- nected with Boland for a 50-yard touch- down. poticky connected with Mark Michno on a 42-yard pass to put Dallas up, 26-12. The Dallas defense was led by Ryan Monk, Chris Beam, Shane Pitts and Jude Polit-Moran. The Junior Mounts ended the regular season undefeated as they have a bye this week. Next up for Dallas will be the playoffs and, hopefully, a trip to the Super Bowl. C TEAM Junior Mounts 36 Swoyersville Sailors 8 The Jr. Mounts defensive line, led by Joseph Bevevino and Charles Harry, held the Swoyersville Sailors to only eight points while the offense exploded versions were made by David Simpson, Cole Dixon, Daniel Mingey, Matt Harri- son and Xavier Barber. D TEAM Joshua Lydon scored two touchdowns against the Swoyersville Sailors and Jay Bittner added another as the Jr. Mounts “D” team continues to roll. Jarrod Hislop, Xander Shaner and Gage Elliot controlled the line, allowing the Jr. Mounts to move the ball with ease. The defense set the tone for the game early. Led by Todd Phillips, Drew Patton and Ryan Maloney, Dallas k the Sailors under constant pressure. Dallas hosts Forty Fort today in its fi- nal regular season game.
