Cub Scout popcorn sale returns this month The Cub Scouts of Pack 232 will sell “Trails’ End Popcorn” door-to-door and at various businesses throughout the community starting this coming week- end (Sept. 29-30) and con- tinuing for the month of October. Sponsoring the October weekend sales this year are the following community businesses: Bi-Lo Markets, Thomas’ Market, Dallas Centre Hardware, Hilbert’s Tractor Store, Back Moun- tain Agway, Gate of Heaven and St. Therese’s Churches, and Gay’s True Value in Tunkhannock. In addition, the Scouts will give up their Columbus Day holiday day off to sell the popcorn all day at Walmart locations in Wi . J nock. The Popcorn Sale is the only fundraiser the Cub Scouts do to support their many program activities throughout the year, in- cluding hayrides, hikes, Pinewood Derby and camp- ing. The price of the pop- corn runs from $10 and up and the selections include light-butter to butter micro- waveable bags, as well as cheese, chocolate and kettle corn tin varieties. CHURCH BRIEFS Church cookbook is being reprinted To commemorate the Center Moreland United Methodist Church 150th Anniversary in 1997, the church had an anni- versary cookbook published by Mooris Press Cookbooks.
