PAGE2 THE POST COMMUNITY Sunday, July 29, 2007 Fundraising for friends Approximately 20 teams form the Wyoming Valley and Scran- ton participated in a basketball tournament fundraiser Saturday morning at Lake-Lehman High School. The tournament was student organized and planned to help offset massive medical expenses incurred by fellow students Kyle and Tricia Farrell, who were in- jured in an automobile accident shortly before the end of the school year. Both were taken by Life Flight from Kingston to Geisinger Med- ical Center in Danville. Kyle’s injuries were the most serious with head trauma and constructive surgery needed. Refreshments and t-shirts were sold at the fundraiser and raffles were held with gift certificates from area restaurants and busi- nesses as prizes. The tournament was a great success with the students raising well over $2,000. There were more than 100 par- ticipants from Dallas, Lehman, Holy Redeemer and others from as far away as Scranton. The event was organized by Lake-Lehman students Gaby Ol- shemski, Erica Johnson and Sa- rah Leskowsky. Enjoying the fun at the fundraiser are, from left, Audriana Lippnik, Katee Palleschi, Anne Wallow and Ellen Matza. More than 100 students from Dallas, Lehman, Holy Redeemer and other schools from as far away as Scranton participated in a student-organized fundraiser at Lake-Lehman High School recently.
