We re- gret any imconveniences. The Dallas wrestling team ended Lake-Lehman’s winning streak against its Back Mountain rival last season. This year, the Black Knights wanted to make sure the Mountain- eers didn’t start a streak of their own. Lake-Lehman jumped out to a 26-0 lead and held on for a 35-23 win against Dallas in a battle between the neighborhood rivals last week. The Mountaineers reeled off 17 con- secutive points to cut the deficit to 26-17, but the Black Knights split the final four bouts to earn the win. The Black Knights recorded three pins en route to the win and - per- haps as important — no Lake-Leh- man wrestler lost by pin. Tyler Lutinski (125 pounds), Joe Taylor (160) and Jared Kopetchne (171) each recorded a pin for the Black Knights, while Scott Davis (145) won by technical fall. Chris Barbacci (135) and Nathan Walsh (152) won by decision. For Dallas, Craig Nillson (275) won by technical fall while P.J. Pre- cone (112), Mitch Artsma, Joe Hayes (140) and Scott Daube (215) each registered a decision. Following a break for Christmas, Lake-Lehman and Dallas wrestlers will compete in the annual Tunkhan- nock Kiwanis Tournament on Dec. 27-28 at Tunkhannock High School. The Black Knights and Mountain- eers return to Wyoming Valley Con- ference action Jan. 3. Lake-Lehman travels to GAR, while the Mountain- eers host Hazleton Area. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. P.J.
