An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at the church, 22 Outlet Road in Lehman Township. The dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic breadsticks, beverages and dessert. Tickets must be purchased at $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children age 10 and under before the dinner. To purchase tickets, Nov.3 7-9pm A Christian dance for boys and girls ages 8-15 will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3. There will be plenty of adult supervision and children will not be allowed to leave until a parent picks them up. The cost is $3. Snacks and beverages will be available. A craft and collectible show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.Vendors spaces (8-by-8) are available for $25 each. Alderson UMC sets bag day, ham dinner The Alderson United Metho- dist Church will hold a rum- mage sale bag day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at the church, pole 108 on Lake- side Drive in Harveys Lake. The cost is $1 per bag. Winter coats, clothing in good condition, glassware and odds and ends will be available. The church will also hold a ham and scalloped potatoes dinner from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Now. 4 at the church. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for chil- dren. Center Moreland UMC to host special events The Center Moreland United Methodist Church is holding its Christmas Child Shoe Box mis- & PUZZLE ANSWERS sion project. The project is an international relief project of Samaritan’s Purse. Last year, more than seven million gifted- filled shoe boxes were distrib- uted worldwide to children in 95 countries. October is “Get Your Shoebox Together” month at the church. Other churches in the area will also be taking part in the pro- ject. The group meets at 8 a.m. each Tuesday at Pickett’s Charge restaurant on Route 415 in Dallas. The Dutch treat breakfast is followed by fellowship and a short devotion period. He was born Aug. 17,1955, in Meshoppen, a son of M. Gay Robinson and the late Marion J. Ross Robinson. Michael was a graduate of the Restaurant School of Philadelphia, and had previously been employed by Wye Plantation, Md., and the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club as an executive chief. He was also the proprie- tor of Michael's Catering, Tunkhannock. He was a mem- ber of Lewes Presbyterian Church, Del. He also enjoyed attending the Lake Carey Chapel in the summer. Mike loved to entertain and his big- gest concern would always be the menu. He had an artistic knack with decorating and landscaping, which is evident in his home. Michael had a deep love for family with the light of his life being his cher- ished daughter, Rebecca, of Milford, Del. His easy smile will be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion J. Robin- son, and a brother, Mark Gay Robinson. Also surviving, along with his father and daughter, are a sister and brother-in-law, Su- san and Bill Gibbons, and their children, Kate and John, of Tunkhannock; aunts Rita Ba- lint of Tunkhannock; Shirley Wade, Florida; cousins; a spe- cial friend, Carole Knapp; and his dog, Bennie. Kocher, 94, of Harveys Lake, passed away Monday, October 9, 2006 at the home of his daughter, Carlene McCaffrey, with whom he re- sided. Mr. Kocher was born in Lake Township, August 7, 1912, and was a son of the late Arthur and A. Jane Kocher. He resided at Harveys Lake all of his life. He graduated from Laketon High School, Class of 1930. Carleton worked for the Conyngham and T. Newell Wood Farm, Lake Township, prior to being self-employed as a carpenter for 35 years, retiring 25 years ago. He was a member of the Har- veys Lake Rod and Gun Club, where he served as its director, and was also a member of the Harveys Lake Fire Co.; the Di- viding Waters Lodge, Moun- tain Springs; and the Lake-Leh- man Taxpayers Association. He also served the Lake Township School Board for many years and he faithfully at- tended the Lake-Noxen alumni reunions. His wife, the former Ada May Bartlett, died in 1975. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Carleton I. Koch- er; brothers Arthur L. Kocher and Eugene L. Kocher; and a sister, Adirene Collis. Surviving in addition to his daughter Carlene are a daugh- ter Tanya Christ and her hus- band, John, Factoryville; and a son, C.
