Loyalville UMC plans meatloaf dinner The Loyalville United Metho- dist Church will hold a baked meatloaf dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the church on Loyalville Road. The project inspires and mo- bilizes youth to fight hunger and poverty in their communities on the weekend of the NFL Super Bowl. On Feb. 4, the youth will perform a service blitz. They will gather and prepare home- made vegetable soup for St. Vincent de Paul kitchen in Wilkes-Barre. All ingredients will be provided by the youths and their helpers. The soup will be taken to the kitchen on the day of the Super Bowl — Sunday, Feb. 5 — and will be served to the guests. The youth group will also have soup pots to collect donations at the two morning worship service that day. The money will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul kitchen. Through the month of Janu- ary, bags of food items will be collected and taken to the Back Mountain Food Panty and the Wyoming County food bank. Following the 11 a.m. service Feb. 5, the church will hold a special lunch for members of the congregation and the public.
