Sunday, November 27, 2005 THE POST PAGE7 CiviC MEADOWS PLANS SPECIAL HOLIDAY EVENT 4 J MARINE ATTENDS CUB SCOUT MEETING The Meadows Nursing Center will hold a holiday shopping day and miniature house and shops exhibit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 in the center's all-purpose room. The center is located on 55 W. Center Hill Road in Dallas. There is no admission charge. The miniature exhibit will be provided courtesy of the Dream Houses in Miniature Club. Other special features include photos with Santa Claus, various craft and jewelry vendors, and holiday gift accessories. Lunch will be available. Proceeds from the event will benefit “Wish for Residents,” which includes funds for special events and outings, a new microphone system, and holiday decorations. Gate of Heaven Cub Scout Pack 232 recently held a special presentation at its monthly pack: meeting. The Scouts saw a slideshow presentation about The Horn of Africa and heard remarks from Master Sergeant Joseph Kelly, of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. More than 75 people | attended the program, which was held in the Gate of Heaven gymnasium. The children and | adults participated in a question and answer session with Kelly following the slideshow.
