Exhibit features nature A Study in Nature, featuring work by Nancy Ruch- Kim, painter; Douglas Leidy, figurative wood sculptor and Mark Chuck, ceramic sculptor, continues through July 23 at Lizza Studios 155 Bridge St., Tunkhannock. The exhibit includes large oil and watercol- or paintings portraying trickling, sunlit riverbeds, rough, figurative sculptures in wood and life-size fish traveling in and around ceramic vases. Nancy Ruch-Kim was born and raised in West Chester. She studied painting at Moore College of Art, in Philadelphia, then attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the University of Pennsylvania in a coordinated degree pro- gram. Douglas Leidy is a BFA gradu- ate of Kutztown University. He has exhibited in numerous galleries and venues. His sculpture is also being exhibited at the American Crafts Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. He currently is employed by Christopher Ries Glass Studio, Tunkhannock, and is married with one child. Mark Chuck has carved out a unique niche in the NEPA art scene with his anatomically correct ceramic fish vases and bowls, ubiquitous to this area.
