He was born in Tunkhannock on July 4, 1975, and was the son of Ronald and Sandra (Irwin) Vieczorek of ‘Tunkhannock. . He was a graduate of ‘Tunkhannock High School ‘class of 1993. He was employed | in the family business, Route 6 | Auto Body Inc., in Meshoppen as the manager of the Auto | Body Shop. Vieczorek, maternal grandparents Gerald and Jean Irwin of Tunkhannock. Randy was devoted to his family. He and his beloved wife and soul mate, Heather, were married in a beautiful ceremo- ny on the beach of Hawaii. Randy loved the outdoors and was particularly happy at the cabin his father was building in the hills overlooking Mehoopany. He loved taking his dogs swimming in the pond. The antics of the lively Labradors delighted him. He was very close to his Mother and Father and considered his . Father to be his best friend on earth. WILLIAM RICHARDS Returned here after career with IBM William Kiler Richards, 95, of Harveys Lake, Pa., born Oct. 16, 1909 in Beaumont, Pa., son of Kiler Knox and Anna Kunkle Richards, died November 22, 2004, at Star Hill Rest Home, Harveys Lake, Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Jackson Richards, and his five brothers and sisters, Mildred (Mrs. Ralph) Lutes, Arline (Mrs. Palmer) Updyke, Marilla Richards, Paul Richards and John Richards. Mr. Richards is survived by his son, W. Keith Richards, Gig Harbor, WA; daughter and son- in-law, Karen and Frederic Burne, Gig Harbor, WA; grand- children, Thomas W. Burne, Olympia, WA; Suzanne Burne Vulgares, Friday Harbor, WA; Scott Moelder, Kunkle, PA.; many nieces and nephews; and a friend in everyone he ever met! Bill graduated from Laketon High School, and was employed by IBM for 42 years, retiring in 1970 and returning with Ruth to Harveys Lake, enjoying many happy years back home. While with IBM he served as Quality Control Manager at Federal Systems Division in Owego, NY. He was also responsible for setting up the Bankproof Machine production department in Poughkeepsie, NY. In his youth, Bill was an accomplished baseball pitcher. He was also an avid skier and a charter member of Greek Peak Ski Resort in Cortland, NY. Bill was a member of Irem Temple, Dallas, Pa., Owego NY Kiwanis, and a longtime mem- ber of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas, PA. Bill was well known at Harveys Lake for his Colonel Sanders goatee, his assortment of Saabs, and using his wheel-horse tractor to give neighbors a hand with lawn projects. Leinthall, age 88, of Harveys Lake, died November 19, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Sharon Link, Shavertown. She was born in Sweet Valley, April 17, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Otis A. Allen, Sr. and Eva Stevens Allen. She graduated from the for- mer Laketon High School, Harveys Lake, and was a diplo- ma graduate of the Wilkes- Barre General Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to retire- ment, she was employed as a registered nurse by Dallas Family Practice for 25 years. She was a member of the Alderson United Methodist Church, Harveys Lake, where she served as organist for many years. She was also a member of the Alderson United Methodist Women -and was a charter member, past president and honorary member of the Harveys Lake Women’s Service Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walbridge, and a brother, Otis A. Served in the Pacific in World War 11 Russell H. Williams, Jr:, 83, of Dallas, died November 21, 2004, while a resident of the Wesley Village. Born in Kingston, April 29, 1921, he was the son of the late Russell H. Williams Sr. anid the late Gladys" (Daviés) Williams, formerly of Shavertown. , He graduated from Kingston High School in 1939 and received a BA degree from Wilkes College in 1950. He was a United States Army veteran of WWII, hav- ing served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Russ retired from Eberhard Faber, Inc., Mountaintop, in 1986 after a 30-year career. He was a member of the Shavertown United Methodist Church, was an avid golfer and a reader with a quick wit. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Peggy Davies Williams; sons Russell Williams III, Greensboro, N.C.; Gary Williams and his wife, Fran, Shavertown; sister Aletha L. Patterson, Tennessee; grand- children Chad, Noah, Erin and Evan. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his family and friends. Richardson, 80, of Poplar Street, Dallas, died November 20, 2004 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following a short illness. Born in Edwardsville, he was the son of the late Howard and Eva Lewis Richardson. He graduated from Kingston High School and Kingston Vocational School for building construction. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Richardson had resided in Dallas for the past 46 years. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a truck driver for Kingston Metal Specialties, Luzerne. His hobbies included woodworking, carpentry and collecting model cars. Preceding him in death are his brothers, Harold, and Daniel; sisters, Mary Fitser and Gertrude Benfonti. He was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dallas. Born in Dallas, December 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Bruce and Vivian (Hubbele) Atkinson. He had attended Dallas Township schools. Mr. Atkinson was a United States Army veteran. He had been employed for 30 years as a‘truck driver in the garment industry. Most recent- ly he was, employed at the SPCA of Luzerne County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lanna M., in 1988; son, Tommy; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Cleaver; two brothers and one sister. Yablonski, of Tunkhannock, died November 24, 2004 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Plains Township. He was born in Pringle, Luzerne County, on March 19, 1930, and was the son of the late Alexander and Johanna Sitko Yablonski. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict, where he received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of the Local 524 Pipe Fitters, and the Church of the Nativity B.V.M. in Tunkhannock. He was preceded in death by brothers, Alex, Chester, John, Frank; sisters, Rose Kalish, Natalie Perlowski and Wanda Pietracciai. She was born on September 17, 1964, and was a daughter of Joseph and Margaret McGee Steinberg, of Kingston. Marietta graduated from Bishop O'Reilly High School and Empire Beauty School. She worked as a hair stylist at the Woodlands Inn & Resort for the past 21 years. Her passion for this career showed her devotion to others while at the same time creating many friendships through the years. She was a member of St. Mary's Annunciation Church in Kingston. Marietta was a loving daugh- ter, sister, wife, and mother of two children. Through her suf- fering, she showed a great deal of faith, courage and determina- tion, which in turn humbled and graced each and every one around her. She will be remem- bered for her courage, strength, loyalty and for living life to its fullest.
