Ghouls, goblins, princesses and pi- rates competed to win first through fifth prizes in six categories. The children as- sembled at the old Dallas Township School for judging, then walked down Church Street to the Eastern Star building, accompanied by shrieking fire engines from around the Back Mountain. After the prizes were award- ed, everyone moved indoors for a party sponsored by the Back Mountain Business and Professional Association, featuring cider, snacks and a deejay. Kiwanian Ted Dymond helped Lindsey Jorda make it down the steps from the awards platform. Four cousins shared an after-parade snack. From left, Julia Hutsko, Drew Hutsko, Sarah Malak and Rachel Malak. Costumed characters streamed down Church Street on their way to the awards presentation and party that followed. The event is sponsored by the Dallas Kiwanis Club, with help from the Back Mountain Business & Professional Ass'n. Scouts led the parade down Church Street. From left, fore- Morgan, Zack Dirsa.
