King’s College inducts adult learners into honor society Three residents of the Back Mountain were among 13 King’s College students recently in- ducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society. Founded in 1946, Alpha Sigma Lambda is the national honor society for students in continuing higher education and is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and the recognition of high scholastic achievement by adult learners in continuing higher education. Th local inductees are: Mar- garet Banks, Dallas; Hatim Ouladelhadjahmed, Harveys Lake; and Donna Zbiek, Dallas. Summer camp on occupational therapy at Misericordia The Occupational Therapy De- partment at College Misericordia is sponsoring a three-day resi- dential summer camp for stu- dents interested in occupational therapy as a possible career choice. The camp will host 12 to 15 students July 7-9 on the col- lege campus. The camp is designed to edu- cate high school juniors and se- niors who would like to learn more about occupational thera- py. Students will have a chance to work with persons with dis- abilities both at the College and in the community, have an op- portunity to meet and talk with faculty members, and be hosted by several current junior level occupation therapy students. Students who will be seniors or juniors in the 2003-20044 academic year are encouraged to apply.
