Mile Run/Walk on Sunday morning. The 36-year-old from Dallas broke the tape in 17:01 and fin- ished third overall. She outraced the second-place female finisher by 1:42. -Aston-Rome’s victory was her fourth this season. In February she won the Run for the Cookies in Berwick. And before Sunday's win she had already triumphed in two races in March (Bear Creek 5K and the Winter's End Foot Race). Aston-Rome was the top area female runner last year in area races. “I was a little frustrated today when I saw that I didn't break 17 (minutes),” Aston-Rome said. “But I'm happy with the way that I'm running so far this sea- son. I'm actually running faster than I did last year. I did well this winter with my training, considering the weather that we had. I used the treadmill a lot. And I worked out quite a lot on the indoor track at College Mis- ericordia.” Mark Oley, 38, Harveys Lake, finished ninth overall at 18:59 and won the male 35-39 age group.
