Hilary Flack meets the President As much as she enjoys life as a seventh grader at Wyoming Semi- nary Lower School, Hilary Flack of Dallas happily played hooky when the opportunity arose to see President Bush deliver a speech in Scranton. After Hilary and her parents lucked into tickets to see the President, Hilary was fortunate to find herself seated very close to the podium at the University of Scranton’s gymnasium. She says she was struck by the seriousness of the President’s speech, which addressed the problem of high medical malpractice rates in Pennsylvania, as well as other issues in health care. Following the speech, Rep. Paul Kan- jorski, who was seated nearby, escorted Hilary to the stage so that she could personally meet the president and get his autograph. Although Flack took in lots of Secret Service sightings, she did not take home lots of books that day. Nonetheless, she shared her expe- riences with classmates and teachers the following day at Wyoming Seminary Lower School. Hilary is shown getting Presiden’t Bush's autograph as Rep. Paul Kanjorski looks on.
