14 Dallas Post Dallas, PA - Thursday, December 19, 2002 Fly tying classes start Jan. 20 The Stanley Cooper Sr. Chap- ter of Trout Unlimited is accept- ing registrations for its annual fly tying course. The course will be held every Monday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., tentatively be- ginning January 20, 2003. The meetings will be held at the Wyoming Valley West Middle School, Chester Street, in Kingston Although the course is desig- nated for beginners, experienced fly tyers are also welcome. The first lesson will consist of learning the two-finger whip fin- ish, and tying the Wooly Bugger. From there we advance into wet flies, nymphs and streamers. Class five is a special steelhead pattern class and class six through eight concentrate on dry flies and terrestrials. Class participants will also be invited to special fly casting seminar to be held in late March or Early April. The cost for the entire eight week course and fly casting instruction is $60. All the materials will be supplied, the student is to supply the tools. Call quickly to register as the classes are limited. Lake-Lehman Jr. High wrestlers defeat GAR The Black Knights won 12 of 18 bouts on their way to a 67-34 vic- tory over the visiting Grenadiers. The Lake-Lehman squad, which upped its overall team record to 5-2, recorded seven pins in the con- test.
