Mike Gashi, goalie for the Cy- clones, came up big for the team and kept the Stampede at bay on numerous shots. The Cyclones scored two goals in the first half. Kevin Pierce scored off assists from Tim Ropel and David Zurek, and Alex Slocum scored on a penalty shot to take the lead and end the half. In the second half, David Zurek scored on a shot from the mid- field and Eric Fritzges scored the final with some help from Pierce and Ropel. Harry Schall played tough at defense.
